What is the most common termite that infest in CA?

Drywood termites are the most common. There are also subterranean termites, dampwood termites, fungus dryrot and other pest that owners will have to control as well before damage occurs.

What is the best method for termite control?

The best method for control will depend on each individual home or building. For example if you have a tile roof, then tent fumigation might not be your best option, as part of the service requires us to walk on the roof to install fume tarps. There could be major damaged caused. In this case our no tent solutions would be the best method to control the termites and prevent the damage to roof.

What will termite control cost?

The cost for control depends on many factors including the size of the house or building, they type or termite to be controlled and the method chosen to control. In most cases the repairs and replacement of damaged wood members is the highest cost and can be prevented by keeping the termites under control.

How long does it take to tent fumigate?

Fumigation tent can take 3 - 4 days to complete. The time depends on when we start. Calterpest will guide you thru the complicated process of fumigation tenting.

Is there another option to tent fumigation?

Yes, we can treat all types of termites with our proprietary treatment method we call the “Termite Shield”. This option will control the termites, cost less, and will allow you to stay and home avoiding all of the preparations required with tenting.

Annual inspections is the best policy for termite control. Termites are all around us including the trees, fences, surrounding buildings, underground and they continuously fly in, to establish new colonies. The termites must be kept under control before major structural damage occurs.
